Halloween booth at Plantation
From Irene Barnes:
PPHC,
John Surratt paid for PPHC to have a booth Halloween night at the
Plantation. We are ging to decorate the booth Friday during the day.
I need Candy from each of you if you are coming to Pickwick anytime
before Halloween night. I will also except money and will go and buy
the candy. Sam Bonds is getting hay and corn stalks for us. Please
come and help us and join in making the kids in Pickwick here have a
good Halloween.

Thanks for a successful Alzheimer Walk
Thanks to all for your help with our successful Alzheimer Walk on Saturday October 4th, 2008.
PPHC appreciates all the money raised and all that helped make the walk a success. At this point, PPHC has raised $1855.00 and all the money has not yet been collected. Great job PPHC.

PPHC Election 2009
PPHC ELECTION 2009
It is time for the election of new officers of the Pickwick Parrot Head Club.
The following board positions are to be elected:
President
Secretary
(1) Member at large
There are a few bylaw changes concerning elections this year. The following procedures will be in effect for this election:
Nominations will be accepted from the floor at the October social (Oct. 3rd)
The nomination period will remain open until October 10th. Additional nominations must be made to the election officer by that date.
Election officer will contact all nominees to ensure they are willing to serve.
Ballots will be mailed to all members in good standing.
Ballots must be received by the election officer no later than November 30th to be counted.
Ballots will be available at the NNovember social and members may turn in their ballots to the election office at that time.

Dear Parrot Heads:
Please plan to attend the PPHC Memory Walk for the Alzheimer's Association on October 4, 2008.
We will meet at the Pickwick Dam Post Office (located at Pickwick Landing State Park) at 10:00 and walk to The Plantation.
A bar-b-que lunch will be served at The Plantation after the walk (bring your own beverage). Steve Hopper will provide entertainment.
